Community Trauma Outreach
With our Vision always in mind, we strive to find new education and training strategies to bring services where our communities need them the most. Our "Community Trauma Movement Outreach" program was first in San Antonio and is something that we take very seriously. Our organization works each day to make a positive impact embracing grace, dignity, and respect working with trauma survivors, families and supporters. Grace Tree is honored to deliver trauma informed care, education, and recovery somatic movement programming to underserved communities. Contact us to learn more about our commitment to this cause.
We are dedicated to stepping up efforts providing recovery to help ease trauma ravaging effects in our community. This is by no means an easy feat, but through cooperation of national and community support we believe we can facilitate much progress in this area. We are always striving to make a difference in lives who deal with toxic stress and trauma as individuals, within families and community. We invite you to learn more and lend us your support.
Somatic Movement Therapy,
Trauma Sensitive Yoga and Mindfulness
Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TSY) is an empirically validated, adjunct clinical intervention for complex trauma or chronic, treatment-resistant post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). This mindful movement modality was researched and developed at the Trauma Center in Brookline, Massachusetts, since 2003. The Grace Tree Initiative brings our commitment full circle by providing trauma informed care, trauma education & awareness, evidence-based Somatic Movement Therapy, Trauma Sensitive Yoga, and Trauma Sensitive Mindfulness to help restore survivor embodiment and empower trauma survivors in their recovery. Results can mean a whole new way of life with a restored nervous system, and neurobiological regulation.
